I first hand sculpted the ring in jeweller’s wax, shaping the flowing wave-like forms so that the silver moves around the stones like water in motion. At its centre rests an electric blue zircon, surrounded by an oval aquamarine, a pear aquamarine, a Ceylon blue sapphire, and a small round aquamarine and sapphire, with scattered London blue topaz set among them like darker glints in deep water. The ring was was then cast in solid sterling silver, and each natural gemstone was set by hand to preserving the organic and fluid movement of the sculpted form.

The aquamarines in this ring belong to the beryl family, named in Agrippa’s Three Books of Occult Philosophy among the gemstones belonging to Venus.
